A career spanning design, architecture, and film art direction, now focused on worldbuilding across physical and digital spaces. Chris Fagan designs environments, sequences, and story worlds that bring together cinematic storytelling, architecture, and emerging creative technologies from early concepts through fully realized visual worlds.
I'm a designer, art director, and creative technologist with a career spanning architecture, physical design, and film production. I came up through the build side of the industry, from designing sets and environments to art directing feature films, which gave me a practical understanding of how ideas move from concept to something real.
Today, I bring that experience into digital worldbuilding, creating cinematic environments and story worlds that connect design, filmmaking, and emerging technology. I approach digital spaces the same way I approach a physical set: thinking about scale, atmosphere, movement, storytelling, and how every element works together to create a believable world.
Years on the floor drawing and detailing sets that got built and shot, the grammar of real construction.
Running the look and the logistics, managing scope, budget, and a department against a shooting schedule.
Leading digital preproduction on recent features, visualizing sequences and worlds before the money is committed.

His recent work focuses on digital preproduction, virtual world-building, and innovative methods for large-scale set design and construction planning. Through Delineator, he develops original story-worlds as living, expandable intellectual property, using film as a gateway into larger universes that extend across interactive experiences, spatial storytelling, and emerging forms of digital media.
Additional production PreViz boards and sequence work available on request, some material under NDA.
